Barry and Silver Man At 27 years old, stage performer Barry Brandon was a walking medical anomaly. Born with a rare and life-threatening heart condition, he was not expected to survive. Upon discovering he would need an eighth open-heart surgery, Barry decided to pick up a camera and show the world what it is like to have life hang in the balance. Not knowing if he would ever have the opportunity to have his dreams of performing on Broadway come true, he started an organization to raise money for families of children with life-threatening heart conditions. Knowing the agony children endure, he never wanted to see another person suffer alone.

The Heart Foundation was started to alleviate the burdens of missed wages and unaffordable travel expenses accrued by family members hoping to stay with loved ones in dire situations. The idea was simple: Never underestimate the healing abilities of love, laughter and the human spirit.

Watch Barry on his humorous musical journey with his mom, Linda, and sister, Aleacia as they enter The Mayo Clinic with grim prospects and attempt to embrace life in the hands of death.

The Tin Man Project is a story told through a one-man musical Barry performed to raise money for his foundation with interviews of his family members and follows him in his attempt to gain international stardom.
